What is Contra Dancing? It is family entertainment. It is fun. Dance to live music. It's a lot like square dancing (there is a caller to teach you and tell you the next move) and Irish Set Dancing.  It is a uniquely American dance form and has been around for over 200 years. There are many active contra dance groups throughout the U.S.

You do not need to come with a partner. Good exercise! No experience necessary.

Community Event. Public is invited.  Dances held (3rd or) 4th Saturday of the month.

Information: (661) 272-5648 or rm.trochim@verizon.net

Sponsored by A.V. Contra Dance Society, a not-for-profit organization. Dancing since Dec. 2005.
